Less than two years ago, Lotos Pharma opened the new plant in Marupe that meets the standards of good manufacturing practice. This can be certified by obtained Codex GMP (Codex Good Manufacturing Practice) certificate, which means that the company has arranged the production process in accordance with internationally recognized standards.
This year, new quality certificate ISO 22000 has been received in May by improving the company’s activity and introducing new technologies. This enables the production of innovative products that meet the highest standards of quality and safety, as well as wider export opportunities in countries of the Eastern region, such as Singapore and Vietnam, where this certificate is recognized.
Kaspars Ivanovs head of Lotos Pharma, emphasizes: “Development requires investments in both knowledge and technology. In cooperation with the state development financial institution ALTUM and the company’s own capital support, the total investments in development will reach 420,000 EUR in 2020. We have started to expand warehouses and production facilities, as well as new technologies soon will be introduced and modern production equipment will be acquired. We work hard on the development of new products for export markets, especially for heart and respiratory health.”
